Is “Sustainable Tourism” an oxymoron?

We do know for sure that as a key driver of our economy, tourism isn’t sustainable. I’m not looking to get into a big beef over the possibility of sustainable tourism, which I believe is possible. I just wanted to share a few thoughts I had on what might constitute a “green visitor.”
Google Ups the Geen IT Ante
Google is so big that parts of the company can make the entire rest of the company look great -at least in my mind.
This recent post in the Official Google blog on Data Center Efficiency reports some pretty amazing numbers. Google’s “Sustainable Computing Website” goes into more detail.
If you think I’m talking this up just because of my rant regarding their harmful practices on website owners, you’re only a little correct. I actually have a stake in Green IT too and believe Green Collar Technology Workers have had the greatest impact on reducing carbon emissions of any other workers on the planet.
