I just stumbled across the new FeedFetcher FAQs at the Google Webmaster Help Center. FeedFetcher is the bot that indexes rss and xml feeds. One thing I didn’t know before reading the artcle is that FeedFetcher doesn’t follow links. Instead it gets a heads-up from users that add the feed to their Google Homepage or Google Reader.
So what’s the action item?
Make sure you have loaded your feed(s) in Google Reader or have added your feed into your Google Personalized Homepage.
