If you’re subscribed to our Green Collar Tech feed. We apologize. For some time, all our subscribers have been getting duplicate emails from feedburner. Instead of getting a single email with the latest post, they all get all our posts -around 50 total.
I can’t get any help. There is no support for the service. So now I’m writing this post with a trackback so it appears on their blog in hopes a reader might pick up the story and share with someone at Google on the Feedbruner team. How anyone else could figure out how to prod support in this way is beyond me.
If you’re one of our students that has been taught to use this service to provide email subscriptions, we’d like to hear from you. If everything is working for you, it probably will continue to operate correctly.
— Problem synopsis (cross posted in feedburner, google group -only source for help) —
About once a week (actually randomly) all of our subscribers receive all of our posts. Each time it happens we piss off and lose subscribers. I don’t blame them since they all get around 50 duplicates every week.
When we signed up for the service it worked fine. All users got just the latest post within about 4 hours. That was kewl. Now I need to find a replacement service for about a dozen websites.
This all started when we were forced to transfer our feed. Initially all our subscribers were lost. Now they all get randomly spammed by Google / Feedburner with our brand-not kewl.
If this happens with google apps it will put us out of business. How do we connect with someone that a. knows about this issue and b. knows how to fit it or knows of a simpler “pay” service with support?
Thanks in advance!

Okay wait a minute. That post wasn’t very positive. I’ve decided to rethink the negative aspects of this story and spin it to something more positive.
How about this…
_____Brand New Feedburner Feature Really Attracts Attention_____
We’ve managed to setup feedburner so that is randomly sends all our posts to all our subscribers. So about every week or so, all our subscribers receive duplicate posts. It’s like a really effective spamming tool without any need to maintain or administer it.
This is Great!
Apparently, you just set it and forget it.
This new system is really helpful at figuring out who is reading your content. Within a few weeks of setting up your feedburner account you’ll be able to easily tell your readers from your robots. Everyone that previously read your posts unsubscribes after about three of these digest, or summaries or spams -whatever you wanna call them.
It’s great! No more trying to figure out how to target an audience. No more writing useful or meaningful information. With this system your brand just gets flushed down the terlit along with all your posts. Sign up, get spammed, flush terlit. It’s that easy!
We’re immediately changing our business model from an educational-based non-profit of volunteers working for good, to a for-profit pharmaceutical. Now we don’t need volunteers, a 501c3, reporting, integrity or anything of those bothersome attributes a typical startup might need. We’re now a perpetual startup. We now change our name and email address several times a day depending on who we’re trying to spam with Feedburner. Just a one person operation with a focus on selling drugs people don’t need or want to read about!
Best of all This New Feedburner System is Simple to Use AND ENJOY!
Unfortunately, we really don’t know how to teach anyone else how to do this. It happened automatically when we were forced to transfer our feed earlier in the year.
Maybe a Feedburner volunteer could help get it setup for you. We don’t setup the system, we just use it.
