An example of this in Hawai`i might be directories (for greenies on Hawai`i Island greenhawaii.com vs. greenies statewide kanuhawaii.org), tweets (twitterfall.com searches) and other localized blogs that you can find in Google Blogs.
So in addition to trying all those great new marketing avenues, don’t forget to fish where the fish are, “that you want to catch.”
